Good morning C25K world. I have just completed run 1. My first exercise of any kind for years. I have reached the point where I have to do this for me.

Looking forwards to reading your inspirational stories.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thanks. I have tried things before (and used to jog regularly) but it was always for 'someone else'. This time it's for me. πŸ™‚

My story? I started running after my 6th grandchild was born. Had never run. Not even at school! Graduated and swore that was my limit. Please note my badge 😊 You can do this.

Hi Slob37, you may need to change your name in a couple of months 😁 this running thing is strangely addictive. A little tip, if you’re struggling say out loud β€˜I can do this’ or β€˜I’m really enjoying this’. It always puts a spring in my step and gives me a little more oomph. Mind you, I’m lucky, the place where I run is deserted πŸ˜‚
