Wk 5 run 1 in the bag.

A little sore on the calves today. I always find Monday’s (run 1 of the week) a little more difficult with motivation after the weekend, but still pushing through. On the up side… 5 minutes of running three times. Ha. On week 1 i thought 60 seconds was going to make my lungs pop. I can’t believe the progress from this. I’m finding the recovery quicker during walks (as Laura then pointed out!) The gains, however small are pushing me forward every time, even when it feels harder to continue. Keep calm and carry on!

Well done you! Keep going….

My W5R1 tomorrow and am looking forward to it. Not what I would have said Wk1!

Thank you. And good luck! You won’t need luck, just trust the program as they say. I certainly seems to be working so far. Take each run as it comes and enjoy the half way point. I firmly believe that the worst is behind us.

Thanks - W5R1 done and I’m recovering between runs a lot quicker. W9 still seems a long way ahead but taking it slowly I’ll get there!

It’s only ten minutes away from the end of this week! And we’ll never run for less than 5 minutes again. I can’t believe we’ve already moved up to counting the minutes when only a few weeks ago we were counting in seconds. Well done!

Thank you! No complaints here yet. Good days and bad days but I’m not going back to the beginning.

You are knocking those runs out and doing brilliantly . It is amazing I think how 60 seconds seemed impossible at the beginning and how we manage to go through the weeks doing what we allowed ourselves to believe was unachievable in week one... Now when the couch tries to keep me there , I politely tell it I have much healthier and better things to do!
