After hurting my ankle quite badly I had to stop running for almost 3 weeks! I was previously on WK5 Run 1 and was slightly nervous about jumping straight back in... I have done 2 of the WK3 runs and I can honestly say I am amazed at how easy I found them! I was actually wanting to run for longer than the 3 minutes!! I am going to try a WK4 run next time just to make sure I am ready to go back to WK5.
Moral of the story, if you have an injury, listen to your body and wait until it is fully healed before you start running again. I really was shocked at how little if any condition I had lost during my time off running.

I think that is a good tip you gave there about listening to your body. Many of us have caught the running/fitness bug and want to progress as fast as the plan allows but as your say , let your body heal from injury/sickness and your body will thank you.
The beauty of these plans is your fitness is always a little ahead of the next run you face... so a three week beak could possibly see you able to just continue, if the break was down to a holiday.
You have been very sensible here as returning from an injury is not the same. A fully healed injury sometimes lets you know that it actually isn’t when running and all we can do is listen to our body as you say.
