Just completed week 6 run 3. Ran the full 25 minutes and am soooo pleased with myself. I won't deny it was flipping hard. At around the 20 minute mark I was expecting Jo to come and tell me I only had a minute left. When she told me I still had 5 to go I properly shouted "Noooooo" at her π. Anyway I dug deep, slowed down and did it. Bring on week 7!
Oh and I signed up yesterday for the race for life run in Windsor in October. Never would have done that if it wasn't for this program!
Have a good day everyone! Xx

Brilliant! Yes I remember that feeling when you thought you had done the time and the lovely Sarah Millican would say only β¦β¦ but you did it and it will get easier or just that you will know you can do it!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one π. I've got a bench mark on my route now that I know I will get to at 25 minutes so anything from there onwards will be a bonus. I'm still running soooo slowly though. 15 minutes per mile - I can almost walk it at that speed! But I mostly enjoy it which is just the best feeling.
I did that yesterday and really can't believe it. I am in my late 50s, somewhat overweight, and had not run since I was at school (and even then, not really). When I started 90 seconds was really difficult. I am so pleased with this programme, but am not sure whether I can run anywhere other than at 5.30 a.m. on my usual flat route!
I'm late 40's and could really do with dropping another 2 stone at least. I've already lost a stone and a half but since starting this program the scales just haven't moved. I said exactly the same to my husband this morning that a couple of months ago I couldn't even run for a minute without thinking I was having a heart attack or something!
Like you I go out really early 5.30 no later than 6. My running route has evolved over the program. But it's a flat route- the hills are on the warm up and cool down walks. I don't think my legs would cope with anything other than flat. Maybe at the end of this program we might be able to tackle some.
I was really terrified about having to run past people, hence 5.30, but it's amazing that there are dog walkers around at that time. Always the same ones - I am hoping they are impressed by my progress!
Like you there are dog walkers about at that time of morning. I always smile and wave even if I am looking like a complete beetroot. I do see a couple of runners a little later on.
My problem at the mo is going too fast ! Which I can hardly believe π§ and Iβm with you at going early before the neighbours see me π but I always used to think pre running that I would love to be able to run and watch all sorts passing and now I think we are just one of those runners and someone else watching US thinking wish I was brave enough to run β¦β¦..
π I have an image of a ππ½ββοΈ shouting Nooo as they run along! But you did it!! Iβm starting week 6 tomorrow and look forward to shouting Nooo too when I get to run 3!!! Well done ππΌ
