Week 6 done - 25min run in the bag!

Can hardly believe I can now run for this long, only a few weeks ago I found 3 minutes tough. It wasn't easy and I felt like stopping several times, but I kept plodding on. I don't know if it's just me, but does anyone else feel an urgent need to pee as soon as they start running? It's really distracting! I make sure I go before I leave the house, but running must do something to my bladder. As soon as I stop running/get home I don't need to go any more. Grrr! Maybe it's a good thing as it takes my mind off how tired my legs are!

Yeah i get that too!!! I just make sure i go first so that the bladder is empty and that way even if you feel like u need a wee, theres actually nothing there too wee.. it helps with the psychological barrier lol.

Glad I'm not the only one!

Hahaa, yeah I did that I kept telling myself that I didn't really need to go as I'd just been, but it was a real psychological barrier like you say, I probably struggled with that more than struggling with the run!

Well done, anyone who has never tried this, doesn't realise how hard it is. So well done.

That's why I love this community! We're sharing our experiences with people who know what we're talking about. I'm doing this on my own, and although I'm updating a few friends with my progress, I don't think anyone really understands who hasn't done it xx

well done on the run , that is a great achievement :D as for the pee thing don't know maybe , as long as you didn't need to do a Paula :)

Luckily my bladder behaves like an absolute gentleman when running. But hey, well done on your 25 minute run. That's superb and doesn't it just show EVERYBODY that this plan works. Go girl!

Well done! I did the wk6 run 3 this morning and I thought about stopping. I was really struggling. And although I was hardly moving, I persevered. So glad I did. Feeling quite proud, as an overweight 50 year old!
