I’m so totally amazed I did it! I’ve gone past the point I reached when I attempted this last year and I ran for 25 minutes!
Mentally I feel great - so proud of myself. but physically I’ve had it! Early night for me.
I’ve noticed that I get a headache on the days I run, usually comes on a couple of hours afterwards and carries on all day. It reminds me of the headache you get when you have a bad cough . Anyone else get this ?

I drink a glass of water before I run , take some with me which a rarely want, have more when I get home and find I’m thirsty (and drinking loads) all day.
I don’t carry water on a run, but tend to end it thirsty... the only other time I’m thirsty is when I get out of bed. Are you sipping the water or downing it? Sipping means less of it passes through. May not explain the headache though... if it’s every time a doctors opinion could be good.
Hiya, I also get a bit of a headache on run days, but it's barely noticeable. maybe I need to look at the water thing too as I run as soon as I get up (usually have about half a glass of water before I head out the door)
Well done, Vicki!! What an achievement. Definitely try to take on some more water. I’m just back from w6 r3 and when Laura said she’s proud of me and that I’m a runner now I had a little cry. Just shows how much it means and how good it feels. Enjoy week 7 x 😊
Congratulations!! I’ve just started week 6 today 😀
The headache probably is a hydration issue.
Downed water tends to go straight through the water works because your body can’t utilise it to hydrate your cells, as quickly as it’s coming in.
Try drinking water and/or herbal tea throughout the day, on both run days and non-run days so your body is consistently hydrated, which should prevent you becoming dried out on heavy activity days.
