Week 6 in the bag!!

So pleased to have completed the 25 minute run this morning! I had my doubts I’d manage last night when I had quite a lot of pain in my right foot. The weight loss program I’ve been on stipulates that I should be doing 15,000 steps a day. Last night I had to give up at 10,500 due to the pain. I was still determined though so I took a couple of anti-inflammatories and pain killers before bed.

Anyway, I woke up this morning and it felt ok so I pulled on my running gear and hit the gym. Managed the 25 minutes where my only real issue was boredom with running on the treadmill for so long!! Thank god I’ll be home tomorrow so I can finish the program outside!

The app says I’m a runner now! Yay! I’m absolutely buzzing. Bring on week 7........

Keep it nice and steady, watch your footing when running outside, and in practically no time you'll be graduating!

Well done Saltdog!

You're in the final third. But the previous weeks will have done a great job in preparing you for these future longer runs.

Happy running! 😸

Unfortunately Deals1, my foot is always sore to a greater or lesser extent due to my arthritis but I’m finally learning that it doesn’t always have to hold me back. It’s sore if I don’t move and it’s sore if I move so may as well get fitter and lose a bit of weight. I want to use my energy changing the things I can, not stressing over the things I can’t. I may have arthritis but I’m not ready for the scrap heap just yet.

Congratulation fellow runner! I've not used a treadmill but don't think I'd like it. Have also been suffering some pain but hope it won't stop W7R1 tonight. All the very best with your next week. :)
