I completed my 3rd run of week 5 yesterday and to say I’m chuffed with myself is an understatement!!! Never in a million years did I think 5 weeks ago that I would be able to run for 20 minutes!! This programme is amazing and so is your support on this group!!! Whilst on the run I had all your positive and motivating comments in my head, there were a few negative thoughts trying to intrude but they were abruptly pushed away!!
The thought of the run was far worse than the actual run!! Combined with your positive and encouraging comments and Jo Whiley motivating me, I did it!!!!
Thank you everyone!!🤗x

I agree with you Laralou2 that the C25K training program is amazing, you certainly deserve to be chuffed and very proud of yourself, that 20 minute run is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
Well done you! I was supposed to do the 20 minute run yesterday but suddenly desperate for the loo after 8 minutes and had to come home! I did go out after and ran for 12 minutes but obviously wasn’t the same. I promise it wasn’t just avoiding! So, do you think tomorrow I should repeat wk5r3 or go on to wk6. This week has been more confusing because of having different runs every day.And just to say well done again. I think what’s so helpful about the forum is knowing all the people have been through it too.
Ahh how annoying for you! I’d say try and squeeze in the w5r3 just to help with the stamina as it is an big jump from this week runs and next week runs are interval again (until r3). Good luck!!!
Well!,, I can’t believe I’ve just done the 20 minutes run. And do you know, one of the things that kept me going was thinking I’d come home and write ‘I can’t believe it'! Thank you x
Of course you can!! I will be cheering you on virtually. Just tell yourself you can do this, because you’ve worked so hard to get to this point.Think about how fantastic you’ll feel once you’ve achieved this, any negative thoughts push them away as they’re not welcome. Only positive ones!! Focus on something else whilst you’re running, the dinner you’re going to cook, or your next holiday.... anything to take your mind off thinking negative thoughts.
Lots of luck.
I’m looking forward to hearing you’ve achieved your goal.🤗x
Well done! 👏👏I also did this run this evening and so pleased! I agree the thought of the run was bad but I did find it very hard to keep going so did go slow at times but so glad I didn’t stop. The c25 k guidance is amazing! And I love Jo Whiley cheering me on!
I drunk plenty of water today and this eve but have had a really sore headache this eve so perhaps I got a bit too dehydrated? Will drink more next week! Keep working hard and look forward to hearing how you get on in the next few weeks! X
