At the beginning of this year my New Year’s resolution was to become a runner before my big birthday. Happy to say - smashed it! Completed C25K at the end of February. During my consolidation completed a 5 km, 6 km and 8 km runs. Now training with Garmin Coach. Absolutely love it!
Running has changed my life! I am fitter ( 22 according to Garmin 😂), stronger and happier than ever! To anyone who is still thinking to start running - just do it! You will not regret.
My Team made a lovely surprise this morning and they were very supportive throughout my running journey.
Happy 50th birthday to me!

No, don't sell your bike, I have been 🚴 cycling since I was 7, only took up running 3 years ago, a combination of cycling and running is excellent, keep the bike and vary your bike ride and runs.
Happy birthday to you indeed TwiggyL !!! 🎈 🥳🥳🥳 This is just the sort of post we need to read...brimming with inspiration...what you’ve achieved so far is amazing and long may it continue.... I ❤️ Garmin coach too 😉
Congratulations, and Happy Birthday! I started C25K a few months after my 49th with the aim to do a Park Run by the time I was 50. I did my first Park Run on my 50th Birthday and have since taken part in 10k and 10 mile events. Keep up the good work as the benefits really kick in once you've graduated 😀👍
Many happy returns ‘Runner’! Enjoy your day and well done to your team. Really good stuff with the consolidation runs too.... hope you carry on still smashing it! Have a lovely day.
Happy Birthday and much love from all of us in this comunity that are one step closer to becoming runners because we all know how it changed our lives too 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Happy big birthday to you. Had mine earlier this year, and am a bit further behind you on the journey (w6r3 next) but am amazed at what we can still do. Fifty and fabulous!
