Wel I was dreading this run but actually reading all your pointers helped me today totally ! I can’t believe I wasn’t breathless nor did I get a stitch so it looks like concentrating on breathing and of course slowing down works πŸ˜‚ running in the morning definitely works for me hopefully I will be ok when I do the evening runs ....🀞

Yah! It's one of the best feelings of the program. And it's a setup too. Wk6R1 looks easy in comparison, but it's actually harder. Forewarned is forearmed. Just be slow and steady. In the meantime, enjoy your well deserved celebration. It's no mean feat going from nothing to running for 20 minutes in such a short span.

Thanks ! That’s exactly what was bothering me but I got myself in a good pace and it seemed a lot easier than I thought !!

It's totally a 'mental' run. You've set up for it, you just needed to tell yourself that, and clearly you succeeded!

You live and learn ...... and I’m learning not being a runner πŸ˜€ but I’m trying !

It's harder.. even today my walking pace was catching up on my running pace because I wanted more distance covered.. πŸ˜‚

Well done!

Why you were 'dreading' it ? What's the absolute very worst that could have happened?

I didn’t complete it ...... would have been the worse πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚ but I did onwards and upwards !

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran, nothing to dread about that run, I am not sure why you dreaded it, I ran a 5K this morning doing run 3 of week 5 with Laura, after the 20 minutes run, I had a walk for 3 minutes and then continued until the 5K was completed.

It’s all in my head I suppose running and walking ....... then a continuous run . But it was a worry over nothing I found my pace πŸ˜ƒ
