A spring like 5k

β€’34 Replies

The weather, well it's made for running is it not β˜€οΈβ›…πŸŒž.

I threw in a last minute run prior to the pending nightshift πŸ€“, Gawwwd those endorphins from a quick leg stretch.

If you're looking, thinking, wondering about couch to 5 k.....

1, can I do it?

2, I can't run!

3, people will see me run!

4, what if I can't do it?

Dispel those thoughts, you're missing out on the most rewarding journey your legs will ever take you on......... And how about the bonuses πŸ‘

You'll feel fitter,

You'll feel happier,

You'll eat better πŸ₯πŸ‹πŸŒπŸπŸ…πŸ‡πŸŽπŸ

You'l grow to love the taste of water 🚰

And the list goes on........

My run today was just simply brilliant, people out walking, were smiling, the sun was shining, get yourself out there!

Do it for you.....

I love spring weather! I've just been for a lunchtime walk on the moor and the ground is lovely - dry in most places and nicely springy underfoot. It's pretty windy at the moment, but I'm excited for my next run :)

Your comment makes me wonder whether there's a '7 stages of C25k' in the same way there is a '7 stages of grief', certainly many of us seem to go through the same thought process during C25k!

I'm glad you enjoyed your run β˜€οΈ

You inspired me not to wait till tomorrow to run but to do it tonight after work! (I didn't run yesterday so I was still rested enough). I'd already walked about 4 miles today at lunchtime and was going to have a lazy evening... but then again, why not get my run done and enjoy some of this nice weather? I wish I had taken gloves though, it was very windy and my hands were hiding in my jacket sleeves for the first 10 mins πŸ€€πŸ˜„

Soon "people will see me run" turns into "what's the most colourful bit of kit that I can wear so that I'm visible to traffic?"

Just got this Ian!, I have been having seriously trying app issues πŸ™ƒ. Apart from the lovely photos and thoughts of spring, what struck a chord with me is this.

You'll grow to love the taste of water 🚰 Absolutely true. I have never been one to drink water, and now I get through gallons of the stuff!

in reply to Jell6

Hiya Jell, I thought you were having app issues a while back (all sorted?)

That water is such a factor, we're lucky our tap water at home is quite simply morish!

The simple act of turning a tap πŸ€“

Hope your runnings going well πŸ‘

Yes it is such a lovely time of year gives us lots of hope and happiness. Take care

in reply to 9weeks2Run

For me Rebecca it's on the flip of a coin, spring or autumn I'm liking both seasons, totally unsure which one gets my vote, but both are lovely πŸ₯°.

And the Drs have just called me for that all important first πŸ’‰ vaccination on good friday......... Much better than a chocolate egg I reckon πŸ‘

Get those shorts washed for your next run 😎

What a fab run and post! Love the photos πŸ“·

β€˜Twas a lovely day down here in the south too 🌞🌱🌷🌼

As a 65 year old woman who had never seriously ran in her life, I can agree with these sentiments 100%. Started C25k last August after retirement...and recently ran/jogged for 10k...just do it!

Happy running πŸ₯°πŸŒπŸ’πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸŒ±πŸ’•

in reply to LottieMW

Well done LottieMW it's keeping you young πŸ‘, it feels like the start of the year almost, jabs are being increased, lockdown restrictions eased.

And we're still able to get out and run in this beautiful weather, glad "twas a nice one down south" πŸ‘πŸ€“
