I was a bit apprehensive about this run after run 2 but this morning I was quite looking forward to it. A bit of a challenge to be overcome. I managed it ok apart from the last couple of minutes when my lower legs began aching badly but, hey, who's going to give up that close to the end! Like many other comments about this run it's about having the right mental attitude (easy for me to say after I've done it!).

Stay slow for W6R1....... .it catches many out.
Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾

It’s a wonderful feeling, isn’t it! Although the plan is well-designed and the advice we all give people beforehand is that it’s not as hard as you’d expect, the sheer psychological buzz you get from thinking about how last week you could run for 5mins non stop and now you can do 20mins, is such a thrill. It’s still the biggest kick I ever got from any individual run – though I’ve had a great deal of enjoyment from running since then. I hope you do too. 😀
