I've done my first non-stop 20min run. Went really well. Almost cried when Laura said you wouldn't have been able to do this 5 weeks ago! πŸ™‚

Congratulations on completing the week 5 run 3 !You will probably be smiling all day now 😁

Be mindful of week 6 runs 1 and 2 as they often catch people out with going back to walking intervals

That’s great! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»That 20 min run is a big turning point. I remember that was the point that I started to believe. You’ve got this!

Thanks so much Frizzbomb. Yes, I wonder if everyone has that turning point where they start to believe they can really do this. I think mine was the 2 x 8 mins in run 2 of week 5. It thankfully meant that the prospect of the 20 min run didn't feel daunting. It's an incredible programme and such an interesting journey. Take care πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

I did week 5 run 2 last night abs found the 8 mins difficult. I couldn’t believe it when I got the the end of the first 8 mins that I’d actually done it! Having felt exhausted at 5 mins the time before I seriously questioned if it was even possible. But 20 feels like a huge leap from 2x 8 with a walk between? 😣 I’m considering repeating run 2 a couple more days before moving on.

Yes it does seem like a huge leap. I thought I'll take it slow and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. And it worked. Although it seems like a huge leap you have already run 16mins, albeit with break. Good luck. πŸ‘

Also, WELL DONE! As someone a bit terrified of this particular run I’m so happy for you that you’ve done it. You should be so proud!

Well done Cressida, that’s amazing! I think this is a run we always remember, it’s like a gateway to anything is possible πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘βοΈ.

Hi Frenc, thank you very much. Yes it is amazing. This programme is amazing. It has made the impossible seem possible and carried me along to do things I would never have done otherwise. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Wow you're doing really well. You must be really proud of yourself. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Life got in the way of completing week four and I went too long without running😩 so I went back to the last run of week three . Run three week four tomorrow . If I don't get up and go out first thing in the morning I don't do it.

I would like to complete the programme before I reach my 63rd birthday at the end of August. I can't believe I'm doing this and enjoying it.

Good luck

Snap! Also can't believe I'm doing it and enjoying it. And snap again - I have to do it first thing as well. Too tired in the evenings. Who would have thought I would run for 20mins non-stop. Wonders will never cease. I do feel proud of myself (and I don't often say that!). So glad you are enjoying it. It's great that this programme allows for that flexibility of re-doing runs. It's good to be able to use your own judgement and not to have to push yourself when you don't feel up to it. Thanks for you support and good luck, I really do hope you make it for your birthday πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘‹
