Hi all.
What music do you listen to when running?
Does any of it make you run faster?
Hi, I made a running list on my spotify, lots of different songs but because I’m an oldie it’s mainly 70’s and 80’s!!
Hi,
I still mostly use the mp3s from C25K (week 9) and C25K+ for my runs. When I run longer I just listen to the next track on my music list.
For me it really depends on the beat how "fast" I run. I use the C25K+ Stamina to slow me down on long runs. When I listen to C25K-week9 I don't really run to the beat but my pace is always faster than with Stamina. Maybe this is because Laura is counting the beat and so I'm reminded to slow down several times.
It's a common question. I listened to a radio station, so had no control over the music. I did find that I didn't lock on to the beat unless it was very close to the cadence I was running with.
I listen to Six Music. I find that the mixture of chat and music works for me. The element of surprise - not knowing what will be played next - can provide a welcome distraction when I am struggling a bit!
I used to listen to music from Podrunner on 160 bpm to try and get my steps up a bit and I downloaded some more music at 160 bpm. But the last few runs I've gone music-less, just listening to the birds and wind, which was very nice too.
