Running Christmas music??

Has anyone included Christmas music to your running play list if so what?? If not what do you like to run to ??

Just interested to see everyone’s taste in music or do you like it quiet? Jacca x

Indeed I do Jacca, recently, parkrun excluded I have been running to Christmas Music, either a radio station playing 100% Christmas Music like Heart Extra Christmas or the Xmas music I have on my first Smartphone, I only use that for listening to music, Xmas music does not have the beats per minute that some other music has, but nevertheless having Silent Night playing in your ears while out a run in December is very pleasant indeed.

My plan over the Christmas period is to run a 5K on the fifth day of Christmas which is the 29th of December and run a 10K on the 10th day of Christmas which is the 3rd of January, well that is my plan. 😊 🏃🏾

My running Christmas music has Underneath the Tree, Christmas Eve (Kelly Clarkson), One More Sleep (Leona Lewis), Under the Christmas Lights, You Make It Feel Like Christmas (Gwen Stefani) plus all the usual old ones. The only problem is you end up humming Christmas songs all day!!! 😂

You will. Just believe in the program. I started C25K April this year. Already done 3 10 races. The end of week 5 C25K run is still the best 👍🏻

Ye I really enjoyed that first 20min run too - it felt amazing I only hope 5k’s are going to feel like that debstone suggested park run so think I might attempt that and 10k just blows my mind right now!!🤯😁

5K will feel awesome. Probably won’t be in 30 mins unless you’re super quick. I found getting from the couch to 5K much harder than the 5 to 10k 😁

That’s good to know. I can do about 4K in 30 mins so I’m gonna push myself and do a park run !! Or I might follow the route of a park run first see how I go ! Then join others.

Do the parkrun, they’re fantastic. Run walk if you need to, lots of people do. I marshal on my local one. I it’s much more fun running with large groups 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️

That pace is faster than me and I do park run. My best time is over 40 minutes for 5K and I've never been last over line yet. Though they were packing up the course when I finished on Saturday

I'm still getting used to the whole running playlist thing. Some tracks I thought would be good are just too fast. I keep fiddling around deleting and downloading at the moment. I haven't got technical about beats and pacing; I've just gone for not too fast, not too slow and a bit of a party in my ears. Here's my list at the moment (well, you did ask)

First and last time on the treadmill, it's not for me. My headphones aren't noise cancelling anyway, which is good outdoors as I like to hear what's going on around me. Not good in the gym though.

I've listened to Nickelback, it takes me back to dragging my kids through their GCSEs and A levels. Don't mind it at all. I might even keep it. Can't say I'm converted to Liam, but a deal's a deal.

🤣 I only found Nickelback by accident. I had listened to a song on the radio and liked it. Found out it was Calling - wherever you will go, and one of Nickelback’s was the next song on YouTube.

Well Liam’s album really grew on me. Hopefully it might for you. Can’t wait to run with my new songs 😁

I ran with my new mix and quite enjoyed your selections I’m going to keep my new playlist 😁 Thanks I wouldn’t have included TRex. I roughly timed it so I had Buck Rogers around 5min mark and had ride a White swan after the 10 min mark. I think it helped me.

Glad you like them 😁. The T Rex wouldn't be on everyone's running list but every time I here it ,I'm straight back dancing round the biology lab at school with my mates. Probably a better running song on my list is Hey Brother by Avicii. I'm cheating now, suggesting more. I'll try yours out later in the week. I usually listen to mine on shuffle.

Sit Down by James and Red Right Hand by Nick Cave. That one isn't on my own playlist, but I got quite addicted to it on the Peaky Blinders playlist on BBC Sounds when I started c25k. Great song.

I'd forgotten all about Huey Lewis, I always liked him so shouldn't be too difficult. I'll have a listen to Pink, and no, I doubt I'll be offended by the swearing unless its horrendous- I'm a massive Beautiful South fan 😉

Everyone needs Mr Brightside on their playlist 👍I'm off for a week with my family from tomorrow. That should be a test of my enthusiasm to run, but definitely no Christmas music, even on Christmas day.

I couldn't see anything on the runner's world playlist until I listened to Good to be alive by Andy Grammer, which I've played nonstop all afternoon. Never heard of it before and haven't tried running to it yet.
