I know there are some BPM-freaks out there, but Ive tended to rely on a mixtape of SKA to get my fat-derriere round. The only problem was that today my feet seemed to want reggae instead! I just switched the stopwatch off and enjoyed my 5k route. Remember C25Kers, if you're struggling... a bit of syncopation on your Walkman always gets you round. Sweet and dandy!

Utter Madness! 😉

Oh I dunno... death metal has got me over a few finish lines 🤣
I did run to Complete Madness on shuffle a few times though and found the tempo was pretty consistent the whole way through, helping me to stay in the zone. The weird thing was the invisible interaction between my Garmin watch and Apple Music... the number of runs that Night Boat to Cairo hit the lyric “as he reaches his last half mile” coincided with me reaching my last half was almost scary!

Love my reggae! Mainly slow reggae though to match my slow pace! I mainly run with no music at all these days, but Horace Andy is on my playlist.

One Step Beyond!

‘Cool Down The Pace’ by the sublime Gregory Isaacs? 🙂

It has to be classic funk and soul. I cannot stop singing as I am running.
