Hi all sorry It’s been a while, I was so disappointed last year managed to get to week 8 then injury and illness got me ☹️. after having covid I just could not get my breathing back to normal and was out of breath just walking the dog and climbing the stairs 😤I made a decision that 2021 I was gonna try and start running again I’ve been brisk walking since November . Last week I repeated week 5 was challenging but pushed through this morning I’ve just completed Run1 week 6 I am determined to finish this challenge 🤞😊

The recommendation after Covid is to build your stamina and ability very gradually.
Hi thank you, I have been brisk walking for 45 minutes a day to build up stamina , I had a little jog a few weeks ago around the block to test out my ability and managed it ok so started on week 5 have I done the wrong thing ??
This article about recovery post Covid yourcovidrecovery.nhs.uk/yo... states that building up slowly, little and often is better than doing too much and exhausting yourself.
I restarted C25K last week from W1 after chemotherapy using similar advice, knowing that is less stressful for the body to be able to comfortably manage the demands we put on it at the early stages of recovery.
