Week Four: Run 1

My first post here and it feels like a celebration! I've just completed the first run of Week Four. The idea of five minutes of solid running felt like a HUGE hurdle to me for some reason but I kept at a super slow pace (and I think the chilly air helped me not overheat) and I did it. Twice. Am feeling over the moon and very proud of myself. There will be a slice of cake later :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

I would only recommend the cake if you would have had it anyway............... special treats for having exercised are counterproductive, especially if you are trying to lose weight.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done MissPinks, your doing great, it’s a great feeling to discover what your body is capable of and a piece of cake always tastes better after a run 😋 🍰
