Yesterday I did my run it was just terrible I couldn't find my rhythm, I was really slow, didn't seem to be in the right headspace at all, the only thing I done differently was the day before I'd done a new 45 minute kettlebell workout, don't know if my muscles were tired. Anyone else have days where it's like you've never ran in your life? π€

Hello
I think most people have days where it just doesn't work out, maybe the new kettlebell workout had something to do with it maybe not.
Hiya, I think there must have been something in the air yesterday because I really struggled with my run too, could barely manage 20 minutes. It definitely could be because of the workout but I also think that some days are just better than others unfortunately. Did you drink enough water the day before? x
Hello nice to know I wasn't alone, yeah I do struggle to always remember to drink enough, I will make more of an effort this week to drink more. Here's to hoping our next runs are better. π
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.
Ditto. Was it a Blue Monday?Personally, I think we are all subconsciously concerned whether the groundhog will see his shadow tomorrow; and the day after, and the day after that, and the day...
