Week 3 Run 3 - Will I Ever Get Good At This?

I am slightly behind schedule as I've been distracted by work - my last run was five days ago - so it was really difficult to motivate myself to get out today. However, I knew it was now or never. I have to say I don't enjoy it. It's not that I'm out of breath - it's more that my legs always feel heavy to start and my whole body uncomfortable. I'm really glad I got today out of the way but I'm nervous about moving onto week four.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

In answer to your question, what are your criteria for being good..... you may not be in the next Olympic squad but you are already transforming your body and your future health prospects.

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

Thank you for your advice - I'm trying to keep the hydration up. As for what's good - I suppose I'm just looking to maybe enjoy it?!

Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.
