Repeat run - should PT say the same?

My repeat runs are all exactly the same to listen too, even at the end it says don’t forget to repeats this two times and I might be on the 3rd run of that week. Should the personal trainer be saying different things for each run or is each repeated for the week? Also I’ve seen about them giving tips and info but mine literally only said when to run and walk, thanks I’m advance :)

Welcome to the forum and well done

on getting started.

This forum is primarily for those using the NHS Couch to 5k app/podcasts in which there are three runs in each week, but you will get advice from the coach. Are you using another app?

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

I am using the couch to 5k nhs app, I’m using Sarah I completed week 1 but all 3 were the same with no real tips. I have also read the guide thank you, it was that that for me wondering as it mentioned how they give tips on breathing etc

You will get more tips in following weeks.

I listened to Laura on the c25k podcast. She gave tips in how not to bounce when running (as it burns more energy), not running too fast and breathing tips in the early runs. I think it’s about following these rules repetitively that instils good habits in future runs. Might be boring but remember it’s only for 9 weeks. After that you can listen to your own music/podcasts or whatever floats your boat. Keep on the what you’re doing and the rewards far outweigh the repetitiveness.

Thank you, I haven’t found it boring to be fair more just wondered if I was doing something wrong as I though each time I listen it would maybe be different. Thank you for your reply I’ll keep a listen out for tip hopefully they come up soon!

Try the podcast instead. Laura sounds a bit more informative.

When you progress further they do change what they say on each run

For weeks 1-4 and 7-9, the recordings are identical for all three runs.

For weeks 5 and 6 the routine is different for each individual run, so there are different recordings for each day.
