Did my 2nd run of week 9 yesterday and decided to do the full 5k and not stop at 30 mins. Did it, slowly, very slowly, but managed it. Feeling the impact today though on my shins and quads :-(

One more run to go and the will be me graduated, only taken 6 months - due to holiday, work and injuries, but kept it going. Now worried what I will do to motivate myself, once this program is complete. Really enjoying running, if I can call it that - more like plodding, but dont want to stop and need to find new inspirations.

Keep it up everyone, it is a fantastic program and really does work..........

Well done on your first 5k, but please take care going off piste.... .... ....you were at the limit of the 10% rule used by most experienced runners to increase their weekly training load, which is probably why you felt it afterwards.

Slow and steady progress avoids injury.

Thank you for this and yes I probably did push too far, especially as I felt heavy and tired at the beginning of the run.

Just felt the need to go for 5k, but will dial it back and take it easier tomorrow, may even add another rest day in and do the 3rd run on Saturday.
