So here I am thinking about my route tomorrow morning which, looking at the weather forecast, will be completed in heavy rain and reflecting on my past weeks achievements.
If someone had said that I would be looking forward to going for a jog, I would have laughed at them, but, here I am preparing and psyching myself up ready for the morning.
I’m also reflecting on the difficult times we’re all facing in the coming few days and months and being thankful of the opportunities I have, along with many others, to ensure that I continue increase my health and maintain a healthy mental status.
Stay safe people.. be safe... be healthy...🙂

My personal approach to the whole 9 weeks is to be able to run 5k without taking a waking break.
This is my second attempt after knee injuries. I completed W2 before taking a break of two weeks.
If it takes me slightly longer than the designed programme of 9 weeks then I don’t see that as a disappointment.
I’ve had lots of support from people and have taken heed of advice offered.
My advice.... work with the programme but also work at your own pace.
My personal view is that it’s supposed to be enjoyable. If it becomes a chore then that’s when I will look at pursuing something different.
I guess you will get a variety of advice... particularly from the ardent runners.... perseverance... personal goals... and a feel good factor are some reasons for competition.... Hope this helps🙂
