Best Consolodation Run In Horrible Weather

Having only managed 1 run (3.5km) during the week due to the almost constant rain, I was determined to get out yesterday irrespective of what the weather was. So I set off on my 16th consolodation run at 15.13 during a yellow weather warning that was hitting central Scotland with heavy rain showers and high winds. Into the second km heavens opened and got soaked but got in the zone, legs were working well and breathing had a really good rhythm. Don't know why but actually really enjoyed running in the rain and completed 6.25 km in 40.21 minutes, my longest run to date. Really felt I could have kept going but decided to stop. Having taken much advice from the forum and being 52 my goal is to try and get to running 60 minutes before the year end. Since finishing C25K have found a good routine that works well for me during week 2 runs at 3.5km and longer run at weekend. Never thought back on 27th July when staring C25K I would be where I am now.
