Went out for consolidation run number 8 this morning and didn’t make it to 5 minutes. I felt good when I woke up this morning despite not getting a great night’s sleep but I felt I was ready. I couldn’t decide whether to put my North Face jacket on top of my fleece or carry it in a small back pack on the run. I chose the latter option as I knew the run would warm me up and I intended to put the North Face jacket on at the coffee shop to keep me warm on the way home.
As soon as I started running I realised the back pack was going to be a pain. It didn’t feel like it was on tight enough. My mind then started to tell me that this wasn’t going to work and that I wasn’t really feeling it this morning. My lungs felt heavy. I got to about 4 minutes and then the deciding factor, my ankle problem started to twinge and I stopped immediately. I turned around and went straight home.
By the time I got back I had done around 20 mins of walking/running but I felt frustrated that my head was already starting up before my ankle gave me no choice but to stop. It hasn’t gone like the last time but I feel that it could if I keep walking on it. Not sure how long this will keep me out for but I’m a little fed up to be honest.
