My longest run. Ever.

After a couple of lazy weeks - between visitors and lots of work I only managed 3 runs in 2 weeks - I went out this morning... Walked down to the Lake (18 minutes warm-up walk) started my usual route, dog following (or more often preceding ...) struggled for ten minutes, listening to stepping stones podcast - and finally found my breath. The 30 minutes were gone, and felt like I could go on - took the forest track, crossed the stream and headed North ! Got stopped by the hill - I knew it was there but had decided to give it a go: no way, had to walk up that steep incline - 8 minutes walking that in all honesty seemed harder then the previous 32 running!

Then started running again, a bit slower but I manage to go on for another 20 minutes - some gentle downhill, some up, very little totally flat - I reckon that "totally flat" is not found in West Cork - and I ended starving, walking for another 30 minutes to get home to a banana pancake!

So big day today: 52 minutes running in total, and covered about 6 km - plus about another 3,5 km or maybe walking and eating blackberries. And thinking that I had not even managed 5 k before today!!!!!!!

Enough me thinks.. going to spend the rest of the day with books and tea!
