Week 9 run 3 completed this evening. I didn't quite manage 5k - it was 4.4k - but still happy and it gives me a target to aim for.

I can't believe that when I started this, running for 60 seconds and gasping for breath that I'd actually be able to run for 30 minutes without stopping. I feel brilliant and intend to carry on. Whoop whoop

Thanks so much. I've followed your instructions re: graduation badge.

I intend to celebrate for a day or two, then get back out there to consolidate my runs

Bravo πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌYou must be thrilled to bits at graduating and rightly so. I graduated 7 weeks ago and I still don’t achieve the pace that you managed today so well done 😊😊

Thank you. I'm chuffed.

Keep at it - I'm not sure if it was a fluke as I haven't recorded distance before.

Well done a shiny new C25k graduate πŸ‘

Very well done, congratulations. You’ll be fine for 5K + if you keep up running 2/3 times a week, and be ready to join and enjoy parkrun when it returns.

Congratulations! πŸΎπŸ†πŸ…

And just by continuing to run 30 minutes every few days you will gradually get faster.

Maybe after a couple of weeks you can run 33 mins.

That's the plan. I'm loving it :-)

Congratulations.....a year on I still can’t do 5k in 30 minutes but you know what I don’t mind.....love running for the vast range of targets you can set yourself. Enjoy figuring it all out and carry on enjoying it 😊

Well done you, same day as me I believe. I think I managed 4.34 km and that was pushing it. You are right, we certainly have something to aim for although I think 32min or so for 5k seems more realistic.

mitzybudgieGraduate in reply to JohannaJ

Well done to you too. It's nice having "graduate" after your name, isn't it? πŸ˜ƒ

For now I'm sticking with 30 mins and whatever distance I can manage in that time, but after consolidation runs will think about increasing time to get the distance.
