After 3 weeks on the IC, today was my first run. It took a lot of effort to get out there but once out it felt great! I went back to C25K W5 R1 to test out my ankle and I’m pleased to report everything was absolutely fine 😊. I could have done more but didn’t want to push my first outing. I went back to my 150 bpm playlist and tried to run slowly but just couldn’t so I just enjoyed the tunes and settled into my ‘natural’ pace. My ankle felt great, my breathing felt great, just my thigh muscles got tired towards the end. So, I’m going to finish the 3 runs of week 5 and move straight on to 30 mins running and then back to 5k - that’s if the ankle still feels ok. It was beautiful out there this morning and I loved 😍 it! Great to be reunited with Laura too. We had a little chat at a conversational pace 😂😂

Good run there and glad you're back. I'm on w4r3 again tomorrow but sinusitis has flared up yet again but determined to do it even if it slow. Need to get back up to 5k again too and a bit beyond but all in good time I guess🏃👍

Just be careful. I did a variant on W5R2 yesterday and I'll be doing 20 minutes tomorrow, but I'm going to increase in line with C25K timetable to avoid another injury.
