Well after having a short injury timeout I went out for my 2nd go this week. Wasn’t expecting much so didn’t plan to do 5k but just kept going to the end of my playlist and lo and behold I’d done it!
It was my personal worst or as I now prefer to call it ... my 2nd best since I’ve only done 2 😆 and not an excuse but boy was it windy on the coast - felt like running through treacle for the last k but strangely invigorating 💪🤔
What the last few weeks have taught me is that no matter what speed or how far, getting out there feels a million times better than not.

I now know if I don’t get going early it just doesn’t happen. Next concern will be darker mornings - still need to be done and dusted before work at 8am. I’ll find a way 😉
Thank you - obviously as I continue I may possibly either go further or speed up a little but it’s definitely not my priority. Staying fit enough to keep going is top of my list
Crazy really - I never, ever thought I’d be saying that just 3 short months ago - what a voyage of self discovery this has been and I know I wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for all the support I get on this forum ❤️
