So this morning I was really not feeling like a run at all today! I’ve had a bit of week which has been a bit draining. After procrastinating all morning I had a word with myself and kept repeating over and over in my head ‘You know that you’ll feel better after a run’.
Running gear on and I’m out the door with a 165BPM playlist playing in my ears. I opted for a 10 minute warm up today - mainly to use the time to convince myself that I’m actually going to do a run but also to skip an incline I knew was on the route. I’ll save that for towards the end of the run when I’ve lapped around.
Strava informs me that my first K is 4:58. I’m very happy with that and settle into a rhythm - listening out for the 2.5K marker .... 👂🏻 13:33. Ok, this is good - let’s push for a 5K PB? Why not, you’ve started now!

This is definitely PB territory for me if I don’t drop my pace massively in the last K 🤞🏻🏃♂️

A new PB with over a minute shaved off my last PB!
I guess I really did need this run today after all for the sake of my mental health - think about it & throw it away!
