Well I was halfway through my first five minute run today when my stupid flailing arms caught my headphones by mistake - pulling them out of my ears and resulting in my phone falling off the treadmill! I couldn't stop to retrieve it so completed the remainder of my run without listening to music and more importantly, my Couch To 5k app. I had to guestimate when my five minutes were up then used the treadmill timer to gauge the remainder of my session. And the result? I ran for six minutes at the end instead of five, just to make sure !!
So that's Week Four now completed, loving it ! Bring on Week Five. Next run Tuesday ππ

Hi Lizzie. I think nice and steady is the key. And trust in the programme - it really works. Your body can definitely do this - so ignore any gremlins in your mind telling you it can't be done. Good luck. Let us know how you get on xxπ
Well done on completing week 4, it feels like a big step doing those first 5 minute bursts especially if like me running for 1 minute was hard work when I first started! Rest well and get ready for week 5 πͺπ» you can do it!
Cheers. I know there's a twenty minute run waiting for me soon (eek) but I've done it before. Plus I also remember reading how someone aged 70+ has done Couch To 5k so there's really no excuse, is there?! βΊ
Yeah the 20 minute in week 5 scares the hell out of people π€£ it feels like a massive step up but it's not as bad as it seems as the programme has prepped your body for it. I'd say it's 90 % in your head, believe you will do it, don't stress about it and you WILL do it πͺπ»
