20 mins run : Hi 🙂i have just started couch to... - Couch to 5K
20 mins run
Most people feel a bit daunted by this run.
If you haven’t already, now is a good time to look on YouTube at the video clips about Japanese slow running- it’s a really good way to see just how slowly it’s possible to go - that way you can pootle along gently for 20 mins. Some people find it helpful to have four or five favourite music tracks as a good distraction. 😄 Go gently & slowly & you will amaze yourself! 😄
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Enjoy your journey.
Good luck! I’m sure you can do it! Try not to over think it. I’m on week 5 too, looking forward to completing it!
What you have done so far will have prepared you for this. It did for me and I last ran about 40 years ago. Go and smash it.
Wow 40 years ago well done.Thankyou 🙂
If you look at the timings you can see that week 5 run 3 is 1 minute LESS total workout time than run 2 😁
I did W5R3 today and it was fine, once I got going I actually preferred it to stopping for a walk every so often. Just put some decent music on, keep your pace steady and go for it.
Good luck! I get nervous at the start of the new week but you’ve been building up your strength and stamina and I’m sure you’ll be FAB!
That 20 minute run can be tough but you can do it. It took me 4 attempts - setting off too fast, daft mental barriers etc but in the end I did it and was so proud of myself. Yesterday I completed W7 R3 and completely enjoyed it. Just remember this is your journey and don't forget to come on here if you need a bit of extra support.
