our bodies are amazing!

I completed the Couch to 5k back in August. I gave yet to run 5k. I took a few weeks off as I had hurt my foot & was getting married. Anyway, I recently returned to tge programme. starting with week 1. Well, out of curiosity, on Friday past I decided to try Week 9 to see if my body was capable of allowing me to run 30 minutes & to my complete surprise I did it! I ran 3.12km whuch was what I was approximately running when I completed the programme. To think that when I 1st started just running 60 seconds was a tremendous effort & I proved to myself just how far I have come within these last 4 months. Our bodies really are amazing🙂🏃‍♀️💪

Hurting your foot and getting married weren't connected, were they? 🤪

No😅 I bought a cheap pair of 'running' shoes & that's what hurt my feet. I git fitted last week for a proper pair of running shoes & I'm glad I did 🙂

I have just said exactly the same to my husband. I completed c25k in August too. I am 56 and in June I wanted to vomit after 60 seconds. Today I slowed right down and ran for 46 minutes. Amazed!!

Well done you. I havent ran that long yet. I have incurable cancer & as long as I am able I will run. I told my husband thus morning I was going out fir a run & decided to do Week 3. In the end I was out for 2 hours & he began to wonder what had happened to me! After I did my run I decided just to carry on & ran as fast as I could for 60 seconds, walked a bit, sat down a bit & then ran a bit more. I was so hkad I went out this morning & felt great afterwards :0)
