Week 5 run 2

Just finished week 5 run 2 and never believed I could get this far. Such a great motivational tool. I am 59 and overweight but starting to lose weight now, lost half a stone so far. If it wasn't for the buzz I know I feel after a run, I would struggle to do it.

If you think you've got a buzz now, you're going to be bouncing off the walls after W5R3. 😉

It never really appealed to me...dodgy knees, and felt happier being more anonymous with brisk walking.

I’d been walking 2 miles most days, but when I retired in August, I felt I needed a challenge...and also a bit of structure. I’m really rubbish when left to my own devices 🤣

Sunday, Tuesday and Friday are my “running” days, I go first thing, so if there is anything else planned, I can still fit the run in. Still do the brisk walks every morning on my recovery days 😊

I’m still feeling pretty chuffed from this morning!

😄👊

I understand, I first looked at this a few years ago and never took to it. Well done on this morning, keep going. The best part for me is the end lol. I feel on a high.
