Just a note for all those other plodders like me. I graduated in July only getting to about 3.5km in the 30 minutes and since then I’ve plodded on for 30 minutes or 5 or 5.5k three times a week.
What I realised yesterday was that I’m speeding up without even trying.
My first 5k took me 43 minutes a few weeks ago but yesterday I ran 6k in 46 minutes (and it wasn’t a sprint to the finish for the last km).
Although I wasn’t trying to speed up or fussed about fancy stats I was overjoyed to see that improvement!
So to all other plodders - doing the distance reaps the rewards!

I’m a plodder too. One day I’ll be speedier...maybe but I’m not really goal driven other than to get to 30 minutes three times a week. I did a new route today and did 4km in my allotted time so little by little I’m getting there 👍
Oh that's good to hear! I've been plodding since graduation in June. Haven't done 5k yet , partly because I'm a bit cautious about leaving my 30 min comfort zone. But I've noticed gradual improvement. I've started JuJu's magic plan time version, so hopefully 5k will come in the next few weeks!
Hi Blossom, well done you for starting JuJu’s magic plan as well. I’ve just started the distance version (a few days early incase I have to redo or miss a run - didn’t want to fall behind everyone else!) I think the plan will be great for increasing the comfort zone that we’ve got used to.
