I was 27 minutes into my w9r3 final run this morning and managed to trip over the pavement and ended up skinning both knees and one elbow .
Got up and ran home for the final three minutes fuelled by embarrassment and adrenaline π€£ and headed straight into a tea tree bath and the plaster and germoline box
But I DID IT π

O dear me, all that drama in the last 3 minutes of your graduation run, I just hope it won't affect your future runs.

As it happens I had my first fall in 2 years running today... and it was in the last 5 minutes of my run too! I did the same as you and got up and finished the run... but I doubt that I would have two years ago. Nothing can stop you hitting your goals... great job.
Congratulations on graduation, celebrate and heal well. Enjoy some consolidation and all your future running adventures.
Hope you are okay too - Iβm shocked that my first thought was can I still finish this run
Perhaps the fact I was on a busy high street and knew the corner away from everyone who saw me hit the ground like a sack of spuds was only a minute away helped π
Yeah, Iβm fine... dented pride mainly! I fell right in front of a group of teenagers... expecting laughter I was impressed to see them come check I was ok and help me up. My wife was less impressed as while all this was happening my watch sent her an emergency alert that I neglected to cancel. She doesnβt seem as impressed as I am that the system worked for some reason π€·ββοΈ
I did the same on W1R2! Last few seconds of the run and tripped over a tree root, I went flying and fell and badly grazed my shin - over 2 months later still have the scar to prove it!!
