Week 9 Run 3 -- 4.8k

Did my final "Week 9" run and completed the 30 minutes. I think I ran a little bit further today than on Run 2, so that is good. I'm looking forward to running 30 minutes and not feeling like my legs are heavy and my lungs are getting ready to close up. I'm still having trouble the first 5 minutes of running and the last 5 minutes of running -- the 20 in the middle there are okay though and that gives me hope that some day the good part will be 30 minutes, then 50 minutes....then 4 hours! LOL  :)  On to find the next set of podcasts...hi-ho!

Congratulations! Sounds like a little while consolidating will help you get stronger at running for 30 minutes. Don't feel you have to rush ahead at anything else just yet.

I'm exactly the same. The first five minutes are pants. I'm convinced the last five minutes are just the mind playing tricks and that can - and will - be overcome.

Just got back from a 10 day holiday in Crete. Not a bit of running done. I hope I can still do it. Walked 26 miles today though...so I need to wait a couple of days, I think. LOL. If I'm lucky...
