There I was, happily minding my own business, plodding along, earbuds in . . . When bang . . . Mega pain in the back of my left shoulder. I kept running and slapped my hand on the sore bit, only to remove my hand and find a dead wasp 😭 I was just over 2k from home, so I decided if I could, I'd continue on my 2nd consolidation run (mad woman!)
I don't know whether it was the wasp sting making me up the pace or whether I'd have done it anyway, but I knocked a minute of my last consolidation run! I didn't feel that I'd pushed it anymore, in fact, I thought I was slower as I kept thinking about the pain! But 32:33 was my final time!
I'm now off to sit with a ice pack and some sting cream and feel sorry for myself. Take care out there people - those wasps don't care 🐝

Ouch! Not a nice thing to happen at any time - hope it feels better now?
Our bodies response to pain is to produce adrenaline, which prepares us for fight or flight - so this will likely have contributed to an increase in pace, although, you never know - maybe you are just smashing it now! 😀💪
