It's my understanding that condition doesn't particularly deteriorate over a couple weeks.

I've had 4 days off with a nasty insect bite, but I'll be running again next week without worries. 😄

Hey Gem, it's your mate round the corner! You've got this. That was this week.. next week's a new start! Together we are stronger, you'll find that on here, everyone is soooo supportive... if ever you need a pick me up, tell the guys on here and they will be marvelous!!

Love ya x

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

You don't lose significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Sign of the times Gem1312. I used to run in a group at the beginning but that was curbed with the spread of Covid. You will be just fine we are all in it together.
