Week 5 Run 2

This programme is astonishing! I just ran for 8mins - twice!!!! And I actually felt amazing at the end of both. The 5mins walk felt like an interruption rather than a recovery and when I started running again, I felt like my legs had seized up. I had watched the video on the Japanese slow running and tried that to get me going again and it worked like magic. The pain in my knee eased and on I went.

I feel so delighted with myself every time I achieve another run. The advice, support and encouragement from you amazing people is just incredible. I feel a bit euphoric - I just ran 8mins πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Congratulation! I know how you feel about the walk interrupting your stride but trust the program. It’s great when you get those longer runs under your belt too - good luck with the next run, I think you’ll enjoy it! πŸ‘πŸ»

That's good running. Slow and steady wins the race here. Pace will come later if you want to beyond graduationπŸ‘πŸ˜€

I bet..! Such a good motivator, puppy eyes and a waggy tail!

I love when you see people running with their dog. I always think they have life sorted - you’re fit and healthy, and you trained your dog enough to run beside you. Life goals πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ₯°

Don't be. Although these long runs seem impossible from where you are at the moment, the programme prepares you for them. Don't look too far ahead. You'll be fine.

Thanks. I have just started a new job that entails lots of walking. Not sure my knees are up to everything! I should have run today ☹️.

I do feel hopeful that I will one day run 3 miles!
