My 5th 5k done - still at the 43 mins but it’s still done!

Sociable run today as a friend joined me. My enthusiasm is helping her to get out there and run again. Must be working as she’s coming out with me again on Tuesday. (She’s a much fitter runner than me.) Quite different having to chat and be sociable at the same time as running. Good though.

You asked for a photo so you’re getting my muddy trainers. Love running through the trees and paths!

Nice run for you today Magentabob, just keep going your runs and it won't be long before you can get a sub 40 minute 5K, those shoes I am sure are very comfortable to run, once they are cleaned they will be as good as new. 😊 🏃🏾

Thanks Almor. I’m consolidating so not pushing on as much as others. And yes, the trainers scrub up reasonably and will be back out on Tuesday. 😀

That's a great run and nice to have company too. How do you wash your trainers?? 😁

Why do I now worry about doing it wrong! Anyway, scrub with a nail brush while immersed and with some abandoned body wash of my sons. Leave in the back door step in whatever sun appears. Dry out over my rest day! May not be the right way but who cares!😁

Mine are quite a few years old so I’m not too precious about them!!

My weird shoes have washing instructions printed inside. I put them in a zipped-up net bag in the machine at the same time I'm washing my kit. When they're washed, a day in the airing cupboard means they're totally dry by the time I need them next.
