Getting better all the time!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything! But rest assured I’ve still been running 3 times a week religiously! I’m finding I’m enjoying it more and more every day! :)

My main goal is always just to feel good during a run and other day I had my best run yet :) I know I’m positive about pretty much every run, but often when I get to between 3 and 4K I start slowing down and having to drag myself along for a few minutes. I always recover and pick up the pace again but I never look forward to that bit of the run! But the other day that didn’t happen! I ran very consistently and I felt good for the whole run! That’s not to say it was easy because no run is, but every minute was enjoyable! And the run I did after that one felt very similar! I feel like I’m in a really good place with my running right now and it’s awesome :)

I hope everybody else is feeling good too! :D

You've found your comfortable pace. Plus you are fitter.

Some runs are "in the zone" and feel great even though you're still having to put in effort. It's wonderful when that happens.

I don't think I've had the "runner's high" yet, but have felt a distinct glow at the end of a run that's given a feeling of contentment for the rest of the day (and that's not from me getting all hot and sweaty).

I know exactly what you mean, I love that glow!

Reduce that pace early on HexGirl

I’ve been making a really conscious effort to do that these last couple of runs and I think that’s what’s made all the difference! Great advice :)

I’ve had runs like that HexGirl, you glance down and realise your legs are just carrying you along and as nowster says, you’re in the ‘zone’ it’s a great feeling. You’re a very consistent runner so all credit to you, well done👍🏃‍♀️

This is really encouraging for those of us who get that same dip in the middle, or experience that sluggish toxic 5 or 10 minutes at the start - well done and keep at it!

I’m with you! I’ve often struggled with the toxic 10! But it’s very rarely a problem now! I think persistence and a steady pace is the key! Thank you :)
