Hi am due to do week 5run 3, already worried about running for 20 mins, but also feel guilty as don't do well in heat and have to wait til it gets cooler. But still tempted to try. Any suggestions for feeling less guilty ☹️

Don't feel at all guilty about not running today. I would not be running for even 10 mins today. The temperature locally went up sharply about 6am.

You're having an extra rest day to build for the long run. Keep hydrated today and see how early morning tomorrow pans out.

Maybe have a relaxing walk today, to keep your legs moving, in a cool area like in a wood or by a river?

Thank you for you're advice, made me feel less guilty. Hopefully will be bit cooler tomorrow. It's amazing as couple of weeks ago I wouldn't even have thought of going out for walk/ run never mind feeling guilty about it. Must be what C25k does to you x

I know! I transitioned from thinking of it as "something I have to do" to "something I really want to do" about Week 3.

Don’t feel guilty, it’s so warm & I find I get exhausted quite quickly! I’ve tried to drink more water the day before I run (I run every other day). Dunno whether it helps but I’ll try anything 🤷🏻‍♀️ What about a short run 🏃🏽‍♀️ you could incorporate a walk too maybe?

Lovedobby, as others have said you should not feel guilty. This is all about your health and running in this heat may not do you any good at all. Include some light stretches in your evening routine...reach out for water etc. Plan for a cooler day...you are not going to loose fitness skipping another couple of days. Take care. 😎👣🏃🏼‍♀️👍🏻
