Woke up nice and early so I decided to get up. It felt relatively cool so I got my act together and out got at 6am. It was completely still not a breath of wind even at the beach. Set my 30 min timer as I felt guilty for only doing 25 on Monday.
I was bimbling along, crushed the pebbly bit early on to get that out the way and headed on along the prom. Silenced the naughty gremlin who told me to take a short cut as I felt ok and thought I would just see how I got on.
The upshot of it is that without really having it as a goal at the outset, I managed my second 5K run- in 36 mins which was a pleasant surprise. Once I knew I had gone on the longer route I knew that the 5K was possible if I wanted to carry on, and when the 30 mins notification came up I thought, well I’m either going to have to walk or run home so I may as well run!
Have to say the SB headband did me proud today - when I took it off it felt really heavy - and soggy urgh!- so it clearly does the job!

Good run for you this morning nice and early to beat the heat of later in the day, well done on that 36 minute 5K, tomorrow will be my second runiversery since graduating from C25K, I will be running a 10K to celebrate, again I will start nice and early to avoid the heat of later in the day.
I think I have just decided that I’m not going to let all my hard work go to waste. It’s a shame the hubster had to drop out of the programme as he suffers with his back and his physio told him to stop. But my daughter and her partner have almost finished C25K so perhaps I’ll be able to run with them sometimes although I think they might be a bit (a lot) faster than me!
I don’t know about inspiring, but if I can do it anyone can!
