3rd run done and Week 1 = Mission Complete !

Hi again all,

Today is mixed with mixed emotions, as I took my 6 year old on the last of the week one run and he did half and we ran back round half way to drop him off and I carried on and did it with absolute ease!.....this is so opposite to the 1st run where I was breathing heavy and legs aching.

I also went today in the morning, and I do think this is the best time for me. It has given me a huge boost for the day and I feel more alive!!!! Crazy as this is just the 1st week and for someone who would never ever run - its a huge achievement for me.

I have started to develop a proper running tempo and landing nicely on my front of my feet and not the heal and this has helped massively and my breathing is nice.

My food - I have cut out all the rubbish out and no bread, but eating what I actually LOVE to eat. I love veg, salad, chicken but my problem was eating what the boys leave behind, but if I did this - in my head it would be a waste.

Water - WOW! driving twice as much as I did before and worked out how little i used to drink before I started running.

The low of today is one of my best friends Dad passed away today and he was a huge part of my childhood and its upset me, but keeping positive and looking forward to what week 2 of the development brings me !!!!!

Keep it up all.....

Adie

Well done! You are on your way! The structure might be a bit much for a 6 year old, so you may be doing most of your later runs on your own. But then it is your time!

Sorry to hear about your friend's dad - very sad.

Keep at it, it's great progress

hi ya,

Yeah, the plan was just to do half of it with him, he loved it ! then i sent him back in....we went for a walk 2hrs later and he wanted to run again!!!!

I love running by myself, love the music - my time! but id love at some point to go with my wife.

Thanks for the comment on my friends Dad, i'm devastated.
