I did W1R3 yesterday and tried Japanese slow jogging. Wow, it was amazing! My legs still ached, but I was able to breathe and enjoyed it so much more. Thanks for the advice everyone. On to week 2 tomorrow!

Good news. You may have to change youf forum name soon. Your legs will stop aching once you get used to it and you have built muscle.
It was the only way I could possibly have gone the course !
I found out about slow jogging a week ago at the end of week1. Have been doing it since then and it is the way to go for me! I can now see myself doing all this for the long run (no pun intended)!
