First 5k!!

After being in the consolidation doldrums for 3 weeks knew I had to push harder. Hadn’t run for more than 4K but remembering how the program pushed you to do what seemed impossible I set the Nike app for a 5k run. Knew at 3k that today was the day! Run the full 5k in 43 mins. Feeling fantastic. What a feeling this running can give you.

It rained all the way so came back soaked, muddy and elated!!

Wow well done. The exact same thing happened to me yesterday - it feels great doesn’t it 😊

That is brilliant!! Well done 🙌🙌 This morning I managed 4.8k in 39mins (w2 of JuJu's magic plan). I was tempted to carry on until I hit 5k but I just didn't have much left in the tank, it was quite warm even that early in the morning, not a cloud in the sky 🥵🥵 Ah, so close yet so far away 😅 Enjoy that feeling 😃🥳

Thank you. You’re so close but maybe the weather was against you. Too much cloud here!! Must look into the JuJu plan - might give it a go. Need to keep the doldrums at bay. Good luck for your next run and that 5k.

Thank you! Next week the long run is 44 minutes so that should do it... As long as I manage to complete it 😲 🤞

Yes, I know exactly what you mean, I was really struggling with just 30min consolidation runs. The plan is on the bridge to 10k forum and you can work on time (60min) or distance (10k). It also mixes up shorter runs with longer ones and it's really flexible. Def worth checking it out, it's one of the pinned posts on the 10k forum 👍

Before today didn’t feel ready for 10k forum but maybe I am. Will check it out. Thank you. 🤞for the 44.

Definitely! It's a really supportive forum, just like this one 👍 thanks, I'll need to prepare myself mentally for that one 😅
