Congratulations on completing your first run of C25K, that to some people is the hardest run of the whole program, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1, remember that you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome to the forum. You have made the hardest decision of all in making a start and completing your first run.

You so can do this! πŸ’ͺ

This is from an overweight fifty something, rapidly heading towards 60, who has hated running with a passion all her life. I would walk in school cross country when I thought I wouldn't be spotted.

This plan is awesome and really does work, and may even change your life. I couldn't run for toffee when I started and last week I managed my first (albeit slow) 5k!! I feel leaner, fitter and healthier both physically and mentally than I have done in a long time.😁

This forum is an amazing place to come for support, advice and to tell us all about your journey- highs and lows. The support you will find in here is unequivocal.

Enjoy your c25k journey!😁
