Thank you to everyone on this - your messages and reading about your triumphs are keeping me going. Done W3 R2 but this feels like my limit and may need to repeat a lot of W4. As long as I continue. Have a good weekend, S

W3 R2
Well done on getting through it 😊 Are you making sure you run really, really slowly? Ive surprised myself being able to run for 3 minutes this week but I’m excited for week 4 to see what I’m capable of. It felt like I had more in me today at the end of the last 3 mins and I tried to up my pace a little. And I’m a smoker 🤦♀️ but hoping to tackle that very soon. We’re all different though and the weather today was awful for anyone running after 8ish! There’s no rush though and if you need more time then that’s the sensible thing to do. I’m by no means an expert and fully prepared to come unstuck at some point 🤣 As long as you’re still enjoying it too 😊
Well done, but why do you feel you have reached your limit?

Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.
Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.
You can do this.
Keep going! you can do it!
Well done you but wondering why you think you are at the limit ?
I had to slow myself down and then go slower - really - just when you think you can’t go any slower ... you can and so you achieve the next stage ... and if by some chance you don’t, you have a couple of days rest and try again next time.
You’ve come a long way already and should feel proud.
Good luck with your next outing but remember ... take it slow
Well done on your run, so impressed you managed to run in that heat.
If you have to repeat a week then that is absolutely fine and if it take more than 9 weeks then that is fine too. Ultimately you are getting out there actually doing it which is a massive achievement in itself so well done for that.
If you know your body and you think you have reached the limit then indeed slow down. The next run could be different and your limit may have increased.
I reached my limit yesterday in 35c hear when I started having cold sweats and tingling. I stopped and walked home because I knew my body and something wasn't quite right. If you know your body and it doesn't seem right then only you know what to do.
If you feel you need to repeat a run or a week, that's fine. Take an extra day's rest too.
With the early weeks, there's no need to do the whole week again.
The weather can make a huge difference about how you feel during a run. On Wednesday morning it was sunny, cool with a refreshing breeze. I had a great run. On Friday morning it was already warm when I started at 7.25am. The run felt much more of an effort.
Perhaps have two days of rest instead of one this time. Try the W3 run again. If you feel less horrid when you've done it, you're probably ready for Week 4. If not, another two days of rest and try again.
Do some other activity on the "rest" days.
Drink plenty.
Please keep going lovelyRuns. I want to hear your journey! I don’t know if you’ve seen the Japanese slow running on line but it’s worth a watch. It’s helped me so it can’t do any harm? Looking forward to Hearing about your next run - keep the faith! 😀😉
Thank you so much for your support! S
