What to do on a 2nd rest day ???

I know, i'll go for a run and complete week 8 ! haha πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

so, i'd planned to have 2 rest days before this run but as i felt i recovered well from my previous run i decided to finish week 8 today !

out of the door just before 7am and feeling ok, better than i felt going into my previous run (i was a lot more apprehensive for that one !)

so followed my usual route , and set off again nice and easy , i wasn't really interested in pace so tried not to look at it , i still considered this as a recovery run !

it felt ok, still a little stiff and clunky but less than sunday .

found a reasonable pace quite early in about 4 or 5 mins and it felt more consistent than sunday but i didn't want to look , this was about getting to the end without further injury , the last thing i want is another 16 days on the injury couch .

before i knew it i was enjoying the run and my music and Laura tell's me 10 minutes have gone, almost half way !

i like the halfway bell because for me, that is the point of no return and i will continue.

what i did notice was my position on the route was further along on the halfway bell than it was on sunday, perhaps the pace was a bit better ?

so, round the corner to the hill, or as i now call it, my pace slayer !

again, i slowed, but probably not as much as sunday !

hill done and a nice gentle downhill to come , 7 or 8 minutes left .

now this route usually finishes with another up hill, but on sunday it didn't because my pace was slower, so what would happen today ?

curse (or is it a good thing ?) i ended up running the hill and covering more ground than sunday .

Laura comes in then to tell me "Thats it" πŸ˜¬πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Again NO SPRINT finish !!!

all in all an ok run, im not yet discomfort free when i run, but i am pain free !

so, here we are , 'The final countdown' albeit 16 days later than originally planned, but i can live with that ! πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Thank you (again 😬)

I WILL have a rest now, I'm busy with work on Wednesday and then the Osteopath on Thursday so today was also convenient. 😁

Well done Ian, I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist!

Great that you’re pain free, you’ve treated your body well and have been rewarded.

Good luck with work tomorrow, I remember reading you were apprehensive about going back.

Week 9 here you come!
